Honoring the 2005 Top Corporate Team

In June 2005, Team Merrill Lynch was honored for their exceptional contribution to the American Cancer Society.
As a second year team, Team Merrill was recognized as the Top Corporate Team, with the second highest overall fundraising ($35,500) for the Relay For Life of Tacoma. They also took home the Spirit of Relay Award, as a first year recipient.
Team Merrill Lynch not only contributed financially, but with time and talent as well.
- CA and Team Captain Kris Babbitt also served as the Logistics Chair for the event. She coordinated the move of the event to the brand-new Mt. Tahoma High School from the Stadium Bowl, where Relay has been for the previous 20 years. Coordinating the details of 5000 people for 24 hours is no small feat!
- Director's Assistant and Team Captain Debbie Duncan has had a long history with the Society, involved in record-setting years for Daffodil Days, as well as volunteering time with Camp Goodtimes, the ACS camp for kids with cancer.
- Senior IA and Team Captain Shelley Mauss also served as the Event Chair, in which the event raised $1.6 million over her two year term. She and former Tacoma FA, Brian Marlow, were featured in the 2004 Relay For Life National Annual Report. The spotlight focused on their Leadership Development as a premier Relay For Life in the United States.
